The Accommodation

At Mangaal Farmstay, we truly honour Goa’s spirit of hospitality. Our family farmhouse is your idyllic homestay in Goa, filled with tales of life in the hinterland, peaceful nooks, and classic comfort. It’s a space where you are welcomed as one of our own.

Rooms

Each of our five rooms is a little cocoon of privacy. Here, you’ll enjoy the warm luxuries of a cosy four-poster bed whose sturdy rosewood frame has stood the test of time, clean and well-lit en-suite bathrooms with modern amenities, earthy tones and absolute tranquility.

Enjoy steaming tea or coffee in the verandah or simply the passage of time in the company of peace and nature.

Living Room & Library

The traditional architecture of the living room allows for a cool refuge from even the harshest tropical summer. Rustic furniture, hand-picked artifacts and traditional paintings narrate a story of travel across India’s cultural hotspots, offering conversation starters for the socially inclined and creative inspiration for others.

Succumb to the vivid imaginations of world-renowned authors or the strategic manoeuvres of board games from the shelves of the living room library. A gorgeous wooden spiral staircase leads upstairs to a covered deck where the lilting chimes introduce an additional tone of tranquillity to your yoga or meditation practice, afternoon siesta or session of personal introspection.

Our guests have spent many an hour simply soaking up the arresting view of golden paddy fields, punctuated by the comings and goings of bragging peacocks or the chance spotting of the mighty Indian bison.

Dining

Food forms an integral part of our homestay in Goa. Wholesome, nutritious, well-balanced dishes that reflect the local environment and tribal Velip culture help offer an insight into Goan traditions while keeping your health at the forefront.

Indulge in hot meals around a communal picnic-style table in a covered annexe open on three sides to the sights and sounds of nature. Between sips of a refreshing kokum (Indian mangosteen) or other seasonal fruit juice, the aroma of freshly cooked food and sounds of happy conversation waft through the air.

The large, partly open, kitchen is an excellent space for cooking demonstrations and lessons by the local women who share secrets of recipes that go back hundreds of years.
